How to Activate Your License Key
Enter your StringLane license key to unlock the full version — one-time purchase, no subscription.
StringLane uses a one-time license key — no subscription, no account required after purchase. The key is tied to your Mac and works across all StringLane versions.
Where to get a license key
Purchase a license at stringlane.app/download. After payment you receive an email with your license key. Keep it somewhere safe — you can re-enter it any time if you reinstall.
Activating
- Open StringLane.
- Go to StringLane → License (menu bar) or Help → Activate License.
- Enter your license key in the field.
- Click Activate. StringLane contacts the license server to verify the key.

An internet connection is required for the first activation. After the initial check, StringLane caches the license locally — you can use it offline indefinitely.

Troubleshooting
"Invalid key" error: check for typos — license keys are case-sensitive. Copy and paste from your purchase email rather than typing.
"Already activated on another Mac": contact support at support@stringlane.app with your purchase email and we'll sort it out.
No internet connection: activation requires a one-time connection. Once activated, the license is cached and works offline.
Deactivating
If you're moving to a new Mac, deactivate your current installation first: StringLane → License → Deactivate. Then activate on the new machine. If you can't deactivate (e.g. old Mac is gone), contact support.
